What is the Ohio WebCheck Fingerprint System?

Many Ohio employers, both public and private, are required to perform background checks on new hires and individuals obtaining professional licenses. The Attorney General's Office's Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI) completes such background checks by comparing fingerprints received against a database of criminal fingerprints to determine if there is a criminal record. All fingerprints must be submitted to BCI through WebCheck or card scan unless exemption reasons are met.

Corporate Screening is one of the largest processors of Webcheck Fingerprints in the State of Ohio and offers standard Webcheck and National Webcheck technology to conduct fingerprint criminal record searches at the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation (BCI&I) and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

This process uses state-of-the-art equipment and securely submits digital fingerprint images to BCI&I making the process virtually error-free. This process eliminates the many errors and delays often associated with the ink processing method. Results can be sent direct to you, the regulatory agency requiring prints, and/or routed through CS where they can be incorporated into our reporting system for easy reading and management.

Fingerprints can be captured either by CS trained fingerprint professionals in our office or at your location by appointment. Additionally, electronic fingerprint equipment can be purchased or leased through CS and installed at your location.
